California. The joy I feel right now, knows no bound. I did every single thing I planned on doing. I went for an Afrobeat concert last Friday in LA, I spring-cleaned my closet, I took loads of pictures at a place I have never been before, I got my individual braids; finally! ...and then i got all my home works  out of the freaking way! Life is so freaking coooool! SMH.. If only. Too bad that all happened in an alternative universe, where every single thing you set out to do actually pulls through with no hiccups. The movie's theme explores "humanity and rules". It explains how human beings responds when given a set of rules. These rules are laid out to govern people's actions. The acceptance and non-acceptance of these rules come with responsibilities and making choices.    Metaphorically, the title "The Cider House Rules" implies "the rules of the society".    As I pondered on what the future held for my dear country Nigeria, curiosity hit me. "what is the original meaning of the phrase 'Third world country'?". Then I checked; dictionary.com defined the phrase as an underdeveloped country with widespread poverty.  I just asked myself,  when are we ever going to get out of that label "third world country"? when are we ever going to reach our full potential?
